Of the 36 applications, 31 will receive funding from a total of 18 organizations out of the 19 that submitted proposals

The Deputy Ministry of Culture, in the context of transparency and good administration, announces the results of the "Thymeli" Plan for the financing of professional theater productions that will take place during the first half of 2024.

In relation to the proposal submission process, a total of 36 applications have been submitted by 19 theater operators.

The final score is a function of the results of Phase A and Phase B Evaluation of the applications, which combine both qualitative and quantitative criteria. The proposals were evaluated by a five-member Application Evaluation Committee (EAA), which was appointed for this purpose by the Deputy Minister of Culture.

During the 1st Evaluation Phase, which corresponded to 70% of the total score and related to the quality criteria of each proposal, the 33 applications from a total of 18 institutions managed to secure a sufficient score (over 50%), achieving admission to the 2nd Phase Evaluation.

The 2nd Evaluation Phase corresponded to the remaining 30% of the total score and related to the quantitative criteria of each proposal. After the completion of the 2nd Evaluation Phase, 31 applications from a total of 18 institutions secured a sufficient overall score of more than 70% (sum of 1st & 2nd Evaluation Phase scores).

The said 18 selected bodies will receive state funding based on the score they have achieved , for one or more theater productions for which they have applied, according to the intensity and the maximum funding limit specified in the Plan. They will also receive additional funding for those productions they will present on tour.

It is reported that all applicants will receive a written response on the ranking of their application, but also on the detailed score they secured.

Organizations whose theatrical productions have been approved must inform the Deputy Ministry in writing whether or not they accept the sponsorship, no later than January 22, 2024.

It is noted that the selected institutions will be disbursed the amount of funding they secured based on the terms and conditions, as stated in the "Thymeli" Plan .

The following Table shows the results of the Thymeli Plan with the theatrical productions, tours and the amounts that will be allocated for their realization during the First Semester of 2024.
