The Municipality of Nicosia has declared a series of buildings as dangerous, as it regularly conducts inspections on constructions, especially in areas of special character, maintaining a registry of dangerous buildings, as well as following complaints from citizens.
According to an announcement by the Municipality of Nicosia, constructions that present issues are examined by trained engineers/technicians, who assess whether there is indeed a danger that could cause harm to residents, passersby, or even illegally entering individuals. Then, the constructions are declared “dangerous” according to Cypriot legislation.
After inspection, the Municipality informs the concerned owners that, exercising the powers provided to it by the Road and Building Regulation Law, Article 15B, it has declared the following constructions as dangerous:

The Municipality of Nicosia calls on the owners of the above-mentioned constructions to immediately contact the Municipality’s Technical Service at the telephone numbers 22797484, -554, and take all necessary measures to remove the danger.
Otherwise, the Municipality may enter the construction on its own initiative, taking all measures to eliminate the risk, and/or impose an administrative fine of up to €20,000, and/or initiate a criminal case.
