Social and cultural issues related to the Bulgarian community in Cyprus were discussed by the Mayor of Larnaca Andreas Vyras and the Ambassador of Bulgaria Nedelcho Danchev in a meeting they had at the Mayor's Office.
In a statement from the Municipality, it is stated that the Ambassador visited the Mayor in his office on Thursday, February 2. The meeting was attended by the representative of the Bulgarian community, Todor Zdravkov, and Anelia Hristova, President of the Cultural Club "Bulgarche".
During the meeting, issues related to the bilateral relations of the two countries were discussed, as well as social and cultural issues related to the Bulgarian community.
The organization of the 3rd major Bulgarian event entitled "Traditional Bulgarian Folklore Assembly TA Bulgari – Cyprus and friends – 15 years" was also discussed.
As reported, the event will take place on October 5 and was put under the auspices of the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Cyprus, with the support of the Municipality of Larnaca.
The Mayor of Larnaca thanked the Ambassador for the visit and referred to the contribution of the members of the Bulgarian community to the local community of Larnaca, it is noted in the announcement.
