The fan cards of the three arrested for the episodes at "Alphamega" were canceled

They are men aged 39, 28 and 21, all residents of the Limassol district, who were taken into custody to facilitate investigations

An announcement regarding yesterday's (27/1) arrest of three fans for the incidents that took place at the "Alphamega" stadium before the Apollon-AEL cup match that did not start, the Police issued, informing that after contacting the CMO they have cancel the fan card of all three.

The update from the Police:

The Police yesterday proceeded to arrest three persons, in relation to investigated offenses related to the Law on violence in sports venues, which were committed during the football match between the Apollon – AEL teams, on 24/01/2024, at the ALFA MEGA stadium in Limassol.

They are men aged 39, 28 and 21, all residents of the Limassol district, who were taken into custody to facilitate investigations.

The Police contacted the competent Authority, where the Fan Card of the three above persons has already been cancelled, as part of the measures taken to deal with violence in sports venues.

In addition to the above arrests, in relation to the same football match, a fourth person, a man aged 30, on 25/01/2024, was accused in writing of the offense of obscene gesture, where he also pleaded guilty on 26/01/2024, a case was registered against him at the District Court of Limassol, where it was set for hearing on 02/27/2024.
