The Pancypriot Medical Association expects to be notified of the court's decision, so that all procedures provided for by law can then be followed.

From a reprimand, a monetary fine, to the removal of the license to practice the profession, these are the penalties that the Pancypriot Medical Association (PIS) can impose on the doctor who was convicted again for indecent assault against his patient. As explained in his statements to Politis 107.6 & 97.6 and on the program "Morning Review" the president of the disciplinary board of the PIS, Dr. Michalis Anastasiadis, the Association expects to be notified of the court's decision, so that all the procedures it provides can then be followed the legislation.

He stated that the procedure provides that the case will be presented before the Disciplinary Board and then an investigating officer will be assigned to investigate the case. Answering the question as to why there is a need to appoint an investigative officer when there is a court decision, Dr. Anastasiadis stated that this is the procedure defined by the law, noting that from the moment there is a conviction, the officer's work is more easy.
