At the Oncology Center of the Bank of Cyprus, the new Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, chose to make his first visit outside the Ministry since the day he assumed his duties. The Minister was welcomed by the President of the Board of Commissioners, Christos Triantafyllidis and the General Manager, Panos Ergatoudis, who accompanied him on a short tour of the premises of the Oncology Department. Afterwards, the Minister of Health sat in on a first meeting with the President and the members of the Board of Commissioners as well as the Management team of the Oncology Center, during which he was informed about the issues concerning the Center, its operation and the services provided Provides.
Welcoming the Minister of Health, Mr. Triantafyllidis, pointed out that he particularly honors the Oncology Center, the fact that it is the Minister's first visit and this "certifies the very important role that the Center has in the health sector". Mr. Triantafyllidis noted that they have heard with satisfaction words of absolute support from the Minister and emphasized: "This Center exists, not only to offer high-level medical care, but to give the patient hope and this is the goal that the Center serves the last 25 years".
Mr. Damianos, thanking Mr. Triantafyllidis for the meeting and confirming the symbolic nature of choosing the Oncology Center as his first visit outside the Ministry, added: "Our goal is to be close to the Cypriot patient, to upgrade the services provided and certainly to support the Oncology Center because of the high level of medical services it has been providing for so many years".
